September Society Book Cover 1A few months ago I reviewed A Beautiful Blue Death (The first Charles Lenox Mystery) by Charles Finch. This month I read the second book in this series – The September Society. I really enjoyed this book; the character – Charles Lenox’s begins to evolve, his love for Lady Jane blooms, and their relationship is taken up a notch. However, the layered murder of Widow Lady Annabelle’s son, George, takes Charles on a roller coaster ride of suspects within the September Society. It is not until he unravels the story of his own father that he begins to build the puzzle and flush out the murderer. This novel is full of family, love, and friendship and how the characters conquer all. It is a great read, and I enjoyed it more than the first. The writer is an incredible storyteller.
