IMG_1774Time is running out for those interested in seeing the color and light of the Chinese Lantern Festival at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden in Belmont, NC

This event features an amazing 800 hand-crafted Chinese lanterns spread out over the 12-plus acres of  the formal gardens and public space at Daniel Stowe. The park reports this is the largest exhibition to date at the botanical garden.

We first blogged about this incredible event showcasing paper and silk lanterns of giant jellyfish, brilliant spotted cheetahs, glowing orange and green praying mantis, a month ago.

The event ends on October 29th, but you still have time to catch one of the weekly Wednesday through Sunday openings from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

You save money by purchasing tickets online: Purchase Tickets. However tickets are sold at the gate: Adults $24.95, Seniors 60+: $21.95, Children 2-12: $15.95, while under 2 are free.
